Updated Status on my FSS GSO application

I forgot to mention on my last blog post my application status update! Oops!! I'm very proud and excited to mention that my Application is Referred for Additional Consideration.  Yea! I'm excited to get an invatation for the OA in Washington D.C.!! I wonder how much a ticket would cost from Japan.. and how long would I stay in D.C.?? I should brush up on my current affairs as well.. Does the Daily Show count?? ;)

My first official post for my first attempt at a blog. I'm not very text savy, so after a day of messing around with blogger, I finally managed to put page together. Of course I'd like to thank The Background Fairy for her beautiful graphics.

Let me begin by giving a short introduction. I'm an American girl, married to a wonderful Japanese boy, who's been living in and out of Japan for about eight years, and just gave birth to a handsome little boy in September.

The inspiration for my blog started when I recieved an e-mail from the US Department of State for a job opportunity as a Foreign Service Specialist General Services Officer aka FSS GSO. (Quite a long title to say.) Well after a couple of days of typing up my resume and getting my application ready, I finally applied. (It was a bit tough trying to type everything up and run take care of a 4 month old!) If my application passes, I'll be eligible to go in for an Oral Assessment in Washington D.C.! Yea!! I'm really proud of how I executed my application, and I'm really looking forward to hearing about the result!

I'm hoping to use this blog to record my life in Japan as well as my future adventues in life...and becoming a GSO!! :) I also made a mommy blog to rant about my mommy issues. Hope my blogs will be a good read. よろしくお願いします♫
